Giving for Gambia is a non-profit charitable organization that aims to change children’s lives in Gambia by providing support in education through sponsorships to vulnerable children in the Kachikally area in Bakau and Jalakota Village who might not otherwise have access to an education. The sponsorships are supporting them to become self-reliant and confident to enable them to go on to lead a full-filling life with better opportunities open to them.

We also aim to provide support to Jalakota School by providing school resources or raising funds to improve the school environment to enable better learning for the children so they can reach their full potential and have access to additional resources they might not have otherwise.

Giving for Gambia also supports the local community in Kachikally, Bakau and Jalakota Village with projects that will be beneficial to the children, for example by sending out donated items of children’s clothing, books, school resources, etc.

We do the above by organizing fundraising activities of which the proceeds raised are used to support school projects, shipping donated items of clothing, bikes and school resources and providing sponsorships for vulnerable children.
